Community Outreach
Public information centers were held on April 21, 2005 in the City of Newark at Newark Christian School and on May 4, 2005, at the Harrison Municipal Building, both well attended by local residents.
Briefings for officials were held on January 26, 2005, with Newark; on February 15, 2005 and May 18, 2005 with Harrison and East Newark. Follow-up meetings with Harrison and Newark officials were held on July 18, 2005 and May 5, 2006.
Additional coordination meetings with local police were held and will continue throughout the construction.
