Roadway Improvements
The proposed improvements (pdf 671k) include:
- The construction of a grade separated interchange at the intersection
of Route 70 and Route 73, which will allow Route 73 to travel
over Route 70;
- A ramp from Route 70 eastbound to Route 73 northbound will provide
direct access to Route 73 northbound from Route 70. A spur will
be constructed from this ramp to a new signalized intersection
at West Main Street, which will maintain access to Main Street;
- A ramp to be constructed from Route 70 westbound to Route 73
northbound will provide direct access to Route 73 northbound from
Route 70;
- A ramp from Route 73 southbound to a new signalized intersection
with Route 70 will enable motorists to safely turn onto Route
70;
- A ramp from the new signalized intersection at Route 70 to Route
73 will provide access to Old Marlton Pike and Route 73 southbound.
A jug handle will be constructed at the intersection of this ramp
and Route 70 to accommodate westbound left turns from Route 70
to Old Marlton Pike and Route 73 southbound;
- A ramp from Route 73 northbound to a new signalized intersection
at Route 70 will accommodate turns onto Route 70. A new signalized
intersection will also be constructed at the intersection of this
ramp and West Main Street in order to maintain access to Main
Street.
