NJDOT awards $78.75 in transportation aid to municipalities

New Jersey introduces new traffic management technology

NJDOT Commissioner Kris Kolluri joined with Governor Jon S. Corzine, to visit the new Statewide Traffic Management Center in Woodbridge and introduce state-of-the-art traffic management tools including the real-time traffic website, 511 telephone system and Personalized Traveler Service. These services will minimize the impact of traffic incidents and help motorists to navigate New Jersey 's roadways. On hand were NJ Turnpike Authority Treasurer Michael DuPont, NJ Turnpike Authority Director of Technology Brian Gorman, NJ Turnpike Authority Executive Director Michael LaPolla, Kolluri and Corzine.

NJDOT Commissioner Kris Kolluri speaks at the ceremony to dedicate the NJ TRANSIT Hoboken Terminal’s grand entrance and newly restored clock tower to the late George D. Warrington, the agency’s former Executive Director who championed innovative services and ground-breaking projects, including one to allow for the restoration of the historic terminal.

NJDOT Commissioner Kris Kolluri and U.S. Senator Robert Menendez held a press conference Tuesday morning, to announce the delivery of federal funding for the Liberty Corridor projects – a major transportation and economic development initiative involving roadways and railways serving Northern New Jersey and the Port of New York and New Jersey.On hand for the event, held at the Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth, were Elizabeth Mayor J. Christian Bollwage and Union County Manager George Devanney, as well as Sam Crane, Senior Vice President of Maher Terminals (not pictured).

Governor Corzine Highlights Congestion Relief on Route 17 in Bergen County
NJDOT Commissioner Kris Kolluri joined with Governor Corzine and other elected officials to highlight the the need for a long-term funding source for critical transportation projects, including a project to widen Route 17 to a consistent six lanes from Williams Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights to south of Route 4 in Paramus, Bergen County. The press conference was held on the site of the current Route 17/Essex Street bridge replacement project in Lodi, Bergen County. On hand for the event were Senator Paul Sarlo, Governor Corzine, Assemblywoman Connie Wagner, Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerny, Commissioner Kris Kolluri, Senator Bob Gordon, Assemblywoman Loretta Weinberg and Assemblyman Gordon Johnson.
