With the center median defined by the new curbing, crews begin to place granite pavers in the walkway area. This narrowed median will provide for a longer left-turn lane at Neilson Street and allow traffic to flow more smoothly. |

Looking east from Commercial Avenue, the berm being created for the new Commercial Avenue bridge structure is clearly visible. The intersection of Route 18 and Commercial Avenue is being widened and an elevated structure created to separate local and express traffic. |

This section of cast-in-place wall will run alongside a new ramp from George Street onto Route 18 southbound. Here crews backfill and grade the area at the top of the ramp. |
